About Colin Isard

Colin Isard writes at the boundary of reality and speculation, weaving deep research into compelling narratives. Educated at Middlesex, Oxford, and London universities, his multidisciplinary background spans seven degrees—including five at Master’s level—together with a PGCE in Further Education.

His writing seeks to inform and challenge while offering space for reflection, drawing on the psychology of behaviour to explore the forces that shape everyday life. Through this perspective, he bridges rigorous research with narrative storytelling, synthesising complex ideas into prose that is both accessible and compelling.

Such a diverse background allows him to move seamlessly across multiple genres:

  • Autobiographical: Paranormally Spooked: Real Encounters With The Unknown and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: Persistent Post-Concussion Syndrome
  • Speculative Fiction: Q-Day: Evolution or Annihilation
  • Crime & Detective Fiction: The Hammond & Raven trilogy (A Reflection to Death, The Quantum Sword, and The Entanglement Protocol).

In his seventh book, Murder Without Trace, Colin pushes the crime thriller genre into uncharted territory, constructing a 'perfect murder' rooted strictly in verifiable, real-world science.
